UK Immigration Border Post Delays

Travellers in the UK are advised to check in early and set aside time for delays on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th October 2010, due to a trade union strike.

One of UK Borders Agency’s trade unions, PCS (Public and Commercial Services), have called for a 48 hour strike on the 13th and 14th October. The proposed action will start at 00h01 Local Time on Wednesday 13th October and finish at 23h59 Local Time on Thursday 14th October. It is anticipated that 60-70% of the workforce will not show for work. The strike action could result in delays at immigration at all UK Border Posts, including airports.

Travellers are advised to set aside time for possible delays.
