British Airways #LookUp campaign

British Airways new #LookUp advertising campaign is simply magical. When a British Airways plane flies over the digital billboards in London's Piccadilly Circus and Chiswick, an image of a child gets up and points to the plane, accompanied by real time information including its flight number and destination.

The billboards form part of the airline’s new Magic of Flying campaign and use custom-built surveillance technology to track the aircraft. There is even a weather feed that reads cloud height to ensure that the plane is visible from the ground before showing the ad.

Created by ad agency Ogilvy 12th Floor, the #Lookup campaign is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. Abigail Comber, British Airways' head of marketing, says, "We hope it will create a real ‘wow’ and people will be reminded how amazing flying is and how accessible the world can be."

We think it’s wow! Have you seen it?
