Where in Tolkien country were our guest bloggers on Day 4? Here's the answer...

Queenstown!

Natasha and Adrian were in Queenstown, aka Nature’s Playground. It’s South Island’s adventure capital offering the ultimate bungy jump (it drops 134 metres in roughly 8.5 seconds), sunset kayaking on Lake Wakatipu and, Natasha and Adrian’s favourite, luging (downhill sledding, sans the snow) at Skyline Luge. With stunning views across Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, Skyline Luge’s tracks twist and turn through banks, cuttings and tunnels for the ride of a lifetime. If you’re not feeling that adventurous, rather take in the incredible views at the Queenstown Stratosphere Restaurant & Bar. And don’t forget to grab a Ferg Burger. It’s big, it’s messy, and it’s absolutely delicious

What Natasha loved...

“With the dramatic Southern Alps and the scenic shores of Lake Wakatipu as your backdrop, this adventure capital of New Zealand is where mild to extreme adrenalin junkies flock all year round. And I can highly recommend the Ferg Burger after!”

And Adrian's highlight...

“Queenstown has been dubbed the adrenaline capital of New Zealand, and rightfully so. With activities ranging from bungy jumping to powerboating and skydiving, this alpine town has it all. With magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu, the Skyline gondola and downhill luge has something for everybody. Being a thrill seeker I particularly loved the downhill luge, being bundled up into a piece of horizontal plastic, slapping on a helmet and experiencing the ground zipping by you while you swerve around corners and under bridges truly makes you feel alive, invoking all those go kart childhood memories. Highly recommended family activity while down south in New Zealand.
